The Gazebo restaurant offered the best breakfast experienced on the Hawaiian island. Complimentary papaya, fresh pancakes with coconut syrup, macadamia nuts, and pineapple made for a delightful meal. The wait time is approximately one hour, but it is well worth it. A seating area by the pool provides a pleasant view, and the lava tide pools below offer entertainment for children during the wait. A must-visit spot in Maui.

Once seated, everything was exceptional. Located right on the beach, the spot offers stunning views of Lani’i and Molokai. Reservations are not available, and the restaurant has around 10-12 tables, which fill up quickly. A visit on a Tuesday morning in June resulted in a 1 hour 15-minute wait, the only drawback. Definitely worth a visit, but be prepared for some waiting time.

Simply put, this place stands out. The banana macadamia nut pancakes and fried rice come highly recommended, and both exceeded expectations. Starting with the pancakes, they were superb, and the decision to try the fried rice, encouraged by others, was a great one. The fried rice was outstanding, and it’s hard to imagine finding anything comparable. The pancakes were also delicious and shouldn’t be overlooked. Despite the unusual aspect of waiting in line, the surrounding tide pools provide a pleasant distraction. Highly recommended, with little chance of disappointment.

Arrival at the Gazebo was at 7:50 am, but the dine-in line was too long. Opting for takeout instead resulted in a 30-minute wait to order, followed by a 45-minute wait for the food due to the high demand. The food was excellent, especially the Banana Mac pancakes with coconut sauce, but the wait was extensive.

Upon a second visit to the Gazebo, the Macadamia Nut Pancakes remained just as delightful as the first time, albeit likely at a higher price. Be prepared for a significant wait unless arriving very early (a Wednesday morning arrival at 7:15 am resulted in a 1 hour 15-minute wait). The cost is high, given the location in Maui overlooking Napili Bay Beach. However, the experience is enjoyable, despite potential challenges from birds attempting to snatch food. The staff was notably friendly and hardworking, which was much appreciated by the tourist-heavy crowd.
